About Tim and Sue

1024x768_bestfit (413).jpg

Hello, we are Tim and Sue Brown. We first met at our local secondary school after Sue moved here from Hertfordshire when we were 15 years old. We are now in our 50’s and our two boys have flown the nest. Therefore, we have decided to open our home to welcome holidaymakers to a place which we adore.

Tim was born and bred in Llandovery with his family owning the local coal merchants. When we finished our business, we bought this property due to its idyllic location; being so close to town but having a country feel with beautiful views.

Sue was a stay at home mum to our two sons until 5 years ago when she went to work for the local vets. We both adore animals. We have a Labrador and two cats (all rescued from the vets) and we encourage as much wildlife into our garden as possible.

We can usually be found gardening, DIYing or walking our dog! We always try to have a good time whenever possible and have made our home as much fun as we can. We are happy to share our home with you and we will try to make your stay as memorable as possible.

Our holiday cottage is named Awel Fach (pronounced Owl Vark) meaning little breeze. This is derived from our house name of Awel Y Coed, breeze of the trees.
